Airtel offers up to 126GB data on first recharge (FRC) prepaid plans for new customers

Airtel has recently refreshed is first recharge (FRC) prepaid plans for new customers. It is now offering more 4G data to its first recharge customers.

If you are planning to get a new Airtel sim you will be benefited with data upto 126GB depending upon your recharge plan.

The Airtel FRC prepaid plans start from Rs 178 and go up to Rs 559.

The base Airtel FRC of 178 prepaid plan for users joining the Bharti Airtel network offers 1GB of 3G/4G data for a period of 28 days to its customers.

Consumers also get benefits of unlimited local, STD and roaming outgoing calls along with 100 SMSes per day with this recharge.

The Airtel FRC 229 will give the customer 1.4GB data per day for a period of 28 days and other benefits with it same as FRC 178.

Airtel gives the same plan to existing subscribers at Rs 199, but only for the first recharge Airtel is taking Rs 30 extra. But later all the consumers becomes eligible for all the existing plans.

Airtel FRC prepaid plans are only valid for consumers recharging on their network for the first time.

As of now Airtel has only five FRC plans.

The first two recharge plans are discussed above.The third one is of Rs 344. It offers 2GB data benefit per day but for same 28 days validity. Other calls and SMS benefits are same as previous two FRC plans.

The Airtel FRC 495 and FRC 559 prepaid plans will offer 1.4GB data benefit per day with 84 days and 90 days validity, respectively. Both the plans will also offer similar unlimited calls and 100 SMSes/day as per TRAI guidelines.

Customers should keep in mind that all these plans work for the first recharge on Airtel SIM card. Either you purchase a new Airtel SIM card or you port from your existing network to Airtel.

What other operators are providing?

Vodafone, the number one telecom operator in India,  charges premium for the first unlimited plan recharge from customers. Whereas, with Jio, consumers have to pay extra Rs 99 to be Jio Prime subscriber first before availing any of its lucrative FRC plans.
